Who We Are

About TypingTips.in

India's free typing test, tutorial, font converter, and font download platform — built for government exam aspirants and everyday learners.

Our Mission

TypingTips.in was created with one goal: to make high-quality typing practice completely free and accessible to every student and professional in India. Government typing examinations — SSC, UPSC, PSSSB, PPSC, and state-level exams — demand precision, speed, and font-specific skills that most paid tools lock behind subscriptions. We believe that should never be the case. Everything on TypingTips.in — every test, every tutorial, every font converter, every download — is free of cost, with no sign-up and no paywall required.

Hindi Typing Tests

Our Hindi typing test is one of the most comprehensive free tools available online for Devanagari script practice. We support two keyboard layouts used across all major central government exams:

Every Hindi test delivers real-time WPM (words per minute) tracking, live error highlighting, and a detailed result screen showing net WPM, raw WPM, accuracy percentage, character-level breakdown, and a per-second WPM performance graph — so you can identify exactly which moments in your test caused slowdowns or errors.

English Typing Tests

The English typing speed test measures your words per minute (WPM) and accuracy on real passages. We offer the widest range of durations and modes of any free platform:

Whether you are a beginner aiming for 30–40 WPM, an intermediate typist targeting 50–60 WPM, or a professional gunning for 70+ WPM (or 8,000+ KPH for data entry roles), our tests adjust to your pace. The live WPM counter updates every second during the test, and the results screen provides a per-second performance graph alongside raw WPM, net WPM, error count, and accuracy percentage — the same level of analytics you'd expect from premium tools, at zero cost.

Punjabi Typing Tests

The Punjabi typing test covers all three major Gurmukhi fonts required for Punjab government examinations conducted by PSSSB (Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board) and PPSC (Punjab Public Service Commission):

All three fonts share the same Punjabi keyboard layout, which means once you learn the key positions in Asees, you can immediately type in Raavi and Anmollipi as well. Tests are calibrated to the 25–30 WPM speed benchmarks and 95%+ accuracy standards required by Punjab government recruitment exams.

Interactive Typing Tutorials

Passing a typing exam is not just about speed — it requires correct finger placement, muscle memory, and consistent accuracy under pressure. Our typing tutorials are structured, interactive lessons that guide you from zero to exam-ready:

Every tutorial includes gamification elements — milestone celebrations, progress bars, and badges — to keep learners motivated through what can otherwise feel like tedious repetition.

Punjabi Font Converters

Switching between Punjabi fonts for documents, exams, or printing? Our browser-based Punjabi font converter handles all six conversion directions instantly — no software installation, no account needed:

We also list popular font converter software tools used by Punjabi typists in offices and exam centres.

Hindi Font Converter

The Hindi font converter converts text between Kruti Dev (Remington) and Unicode Mangal (Inscript) in both directions. This is essential for anyone who needs to reuse typed content across different software environments — such as converting a Kruti Dev document to paste into a Unicode-compatible system, or vice versa.

Free Font Downloads

All fonts used in our typing tests are available as free downloads — no sign-up, no payment. Install them on Windows or Mac in seconds and use them across any software that supports custom fonts.
