A 1-minute test measures a burst of speed, but it's over before fatigue-driven errors show up. A full 10-minute test is the real exam simulation, but it's a bigger time commitment than most people can fit in daily. 5 minutes sits right in between: long enough that your accuracy has to hold steady past the first 60 seconds, short enough to run two or three times in a single practice session. It's also the duration used directly by Revenue Patwari and several Punjab and central government clerk exams.
Watch how your accuracy trends over the five minutes using the per-second performance graph after each test — most learners see a dip somewhere in minutes 2–4 as concentration wavers. Target 30+ WPM at 95%+ accuracy; the standard formula (correct characters ÷ 5 ÷ minutes) is the same one used by SSC and every major Indian government exam board.
