Typing Test Requirement
For every Clerk (Legal), Clerk (Accounts) and Clerk (I.T.) post, candidates called after the written exam must pass a typing test:
- Speed: 30 words per minute in both English and Punjabi
- Mode: on computer
- Punjabi font: Unicode-compliant Raavi — not Asees or Anmollipi
- Nature: qualifying only, but passing it is compulsory. The final merit list is made from Part-B written marks of candidates who pass the typing test.
The Translator, Driver and Field Artist posts have no typing test in the selection process.
If you have been practising in Asees, switch to Raavi now — the key layout is different, and speed built on one font does not carry straight over to the other. Why PSSSB uses Raavi explains the difference.

- Counselling / document verification.
- Common Merit List of typing-qualified candidates, based on Part-B marks. Department preference for Clerk (Legal) and Clerk (I.T.) will be taken later.
